"Help A Child to Study" project has started 4 years ago through Somaiya Grameen Vikas Kendra, as a part of the Somaiya Trust and The Godavari Sugar Mills Ltd, social initiative in rural Karnataka. The districts we work in are Bagalkot and Belgaum in North Karnataka. We have extended our project to the Kolhapur, Satara and Ahmednagar districts of Maharashtra. Also, this year we have identified students in the Mumbai slum areas as well. In total, the project encompasses 400 villages and a slum area of Mumbai.
